1752 Insurance was the proud host of the first season of the Doctors and Dollars Podcast. Doctors and Dollars is a podcast hosted by physicians Vijay Kini of DocSupp and Jordan Frey of the Prudent Plastic Surgeon. The podcast focuses on financial topics concerning physicians and features interviews from physicians in every stage of their careers.
Episode 3 of Season 1 is titled “Injured at Work” and features an interview from Dr. Stephanie Pearson. Dr. Pearson is an OBGYN who was injured on the job, and quickly found herself fighting for the benefits she knew she was entitled to. While navigating the field of hospital-provided disability insurance and worker’s compensation, Dr. Pearson was able to start helping friends and colleagues better understand the different types of income protection. Today, Dr. Pearson is still an OBGYN, but also an advocate and advisor for physician disability insurance.
